The Department of Physiotherapy in the Faculty of Community and Health Sciences has a growing reputation as a leading educational provider for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The Faculty of Community and Health Sciences is seeking to permanently appoint a Clinical Coordinator and Lecturer within the Department of Physiotherapy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key responsibility areas: ● Teaching of undergraduate physiotherapy modules as per the requirements of the Department. ● Involvement in clinical supervision in their area of specialisation as well as general supervision. ● Supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research. ● Engaging in community outreach. ● Participating in research programmes. ● Take responsibility for administrative duties within the department, faculty and the university. ● Developing industry and academic partnerships.
● Master's in Physiotherapy. ● Evidence of research output. ● Experience in teaching at undergraduate level. ● Experience in clinical supervision. ● Registration with the Health Professional’s Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Physiotherapist (Independent Practice Category).
Added advantages: ● Be registered for their PhD or have a PhD. ● Have experience in postgraduate research supervision. ● Be proficient in at least two South African languages. ● Have a valid Driver’s license.
